music. She performed on television and radio as a soloist from the beautiful Cathedral of St. John The Divine and St. Patrick’s
Cathedral in New York. She has been the lead singer in several bands of differing styles, including Folk, Dixieland, Jazz,
Pop, Rock, Progressive Rock, and Indie. Additionally Kris is constantly used as a session singer because of her vocal versatility.
As Kris likes to say, “I am a classically trained jazz musician who sings rock, and I teach at a musical theatre school!”
Kris teaches a method known as The Applied Science of Vocal Art. She has taken the method to a new level, to apply it to any
and every style of singing, in order to ensure the vocal health of all who wish to have a career as a vocalist. She is so
happy to be bringing her method to A Prelude to the Classics.
